Callaway got back to winning ways on Friday night, trumping Central (Phenix City) 5-2.
Senior Greyson Batchelor was the man of the match, dazzling the spectators with his play on the offensive half of the field. In total, he scored four goals on the night.
He opened his bank account on Friday with a goal just six minutes into the contest before adding a second just two minutes later.
The Red Devils came storming back and knotted the game up at two goals apiece late in the first half.
With momentum swinging in the opposite direction, the Cavaliers needed an answer. Once again that answer was Batchelor, who hit a rocket off his left foot into the lower corner to put Callaway up 3-2 just before the halftime break.
With momentum on their side, the Cavaliers came out of the break swinging. Rickey Vaughn scored on an indirect free kick just minutes into the second half. Batchelor added his fourth from the penalty spot a couple of minutes later to put the exclamation point on the match.
Goalkeeper Braydon Morris made nine saves to help push the Cavaliers over the top.
Callaway is now 3-2 on the season and will be looking to make it two wins in a row next Tuesday when Trinity Christian comes to town.
