The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday to celebrate the return of a brick-and-mortar location for Interior Designs by Nicole Furniture Sales.
The interior design and furniture shop isn’t new to LaGrange. Owner Gwen Nicole Milton said they have been in business for 14 years and this is more of a relaunching of their office space in Downtown LaGrange.
“We are excited to be back in brick-and-mortar,” Office Manager Maggie Foster said. “We’re excited to be back in a building location to be able to better serve our customers. It is our goal to just make everyone’s home beautiful.”
Milton is a realtor, and she started the business 14 years ago with the hope of providing a one-stop shop for customers by helping people buy a home and decorate it or sell a home by properly staging it.
“I am a real estate agent, so I just like interior design. I like home staging and at some point, I wanted to be a one-stop shop to sell you your house. You can purchase your furniture from me, and we can stage it [to sell],” Milton said.
Milton said they provide all types of home and office furniture.
Foster is a longtime friend of Milton and has been with the business from the beginning.
“Maggie has been the one that’s been operating it and will be the one continuing to operate the business. With multiple jobs and health issues, I had to build a team, and she has been A- one since day one 14 years ago,” Milton said.
“I’ll be handling all day-to-day operations. Gwen still works a full-time job. She’s a full-time realtor. So I’ll be here Monday through Friday, filling in for her just to make sure everything’s running smoothly,” Foster said.
