LaGrange boys tennis wins region championship

The LaGrange boys tennis team is the Region 4-4A champions. The Grangers went to Peachtree City and got the job done on Tuesday defeating Whitewater 3-2 dramatically.
LaGrange breezed past Trinity Christian 4-0 to make the championship match.

No. 1 Singles: Wesley Minicozzi (LG) defeated Campbell Askew (TC) 6 – 1, 6 – 1
No. 2 Singles: Ethan Black (LG) defeated Jackson Akey (TC) 6 – 2, 6 – 0
No. 3 Singles: Brayden Lamb (LG) defeated Randolph Tomlin (TC) 6 – 0, 7 – 5
No. 1 Doubles: Noah Black and Jaehan Seol (LG) defeated Caden Anderson and Anderson Embry (TC) 6 – 3, 6 – 4
No. 2 Doubles: Benjamin Lee and Towns Weldon (LG) pulled prior to the start of the match

LaGrange will enter the playoffs as a one-seed and will host in the opening round and the second round if they advance. The boys have put together a remarkable season so far and are 18-3 on the season.
The girls tennis team will play in the region tournament on Wednesday and will be in the hunt for a region championship as well.
