The LaGrange baseball season is over, but the Grangers are not done receiving accolades after another successful season. The Grangers had nine players named to the Region 4-4A All-Region teams with another making it on the honorable mention list.
On the first team alone, the Grangers had seven players named to the first team. Junior first baseman Cooper Stephens and senior shortstop Robbie Parker both enjoyed outstanding seasons from the plate to earn their spot on the first team. Sophomore catcher Mason Calhoun rarely played as a freshman, but was asked to take a big step forward this season and answered the bell to make the first team.
The Grangers did not just have infielders on the list as outfielders Gryson Cockrell and Tanner Langley were named to the first team. Cockrell, a junior, will be looking for one final elite season in blue and white while Langley will be heading to Georgia Southern to play baseball in the fall.
Junior pitcher Caden Wood and junior designated hitter Grady Westmoreland were both named to the first team as well.
Junior third baseman Rob Skinner and junior pitcher Kayden Sutton made the second team. Fellow junior Brandon Bennett was named to the honorable mention list.
