It was just a matter of time before former Troup High baseball player Ryan Bliss got his first major league hit.
After scoring the winning run in his second career start, Bliss fully broke out in his fourth start of the season on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Angels.
Bliss got his first hit in the bottom of the sixth inning, looping a single over the outstretched glove of the Angels’ second baseman to register a single and officially open up his hit account in the MLB.
This was just the capstone of a major performance in the game. Bliss took two walks and scored three runs with the game heading to the seventh inning with Seattle leading Los Angeles 9-0 at the time of publishing, Bliss will have the chance to add to his account with at least one more at bat.
