James “Jaime” Thrailkill” has won the Republican nomination for the District 2 Commission seat.

Thrailkill beat incumbent commissioner, Ellis Cadenhead, getting 65.78 percent of the votes. He received 1238 votes in total, compared to Cadehead’s 644 votes.

Thrailkill will face democratic nominee Andrew Moody in November to decide the next commissioner.
