Hyundai Mobis Georgia is hosting its third annual book bag drive in West Point, on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. The company has so far collected over 200 book bags this year, both bought by the company and donated by department members at Mobis. 

The drive will take place at J. Smith Lanier Park in West Point. This year, the company has added Kona Ice to the event, so families can pick up a bag and a free snow cone. 

It is first come first serve, so when supplies run out the the company will pack up. 

“We have a lot of local people working for us, and we’re always looking for opportunities to stay involved…it just a good way to bless people we can,” said Jacob Holcomb of Mobis. 

The company is asking that parents or families attending have their children with them at the drive, as they will be giving one bag per child.
