First Presbyterian Church LaGrange is excited to announce the opening of the Jan Stewart Tolbert Community Grant for Fall 2024. This grant opportunity, offering up to $2,500, is available to local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. The grants aim to support the initiation of new programs or the expansion of existing services that benefit the community.
The Jan Stewart Tolbert Community Grants were established in honor of Pastor Jan Tolbert, who played a crucial role in creating this grant process before she retired from First Presbyterian Church in June 2022. Pastor Tolbert’s dedication to the LaGrange community and her passion for service continues to inspire the church’s mission of supporting local nonprofits.
Applications for the Fall 2024 grant cycle will be accepted starting September 2, 2024. Interested organizations can find the application form on the church’s website at fpclagrange.org under the “Mission” section. The deadline for the first round of applications is September 30, 2024. Grants will be announced in October 2024.
Nonprofits seeking to enhance their impact in the community are encouraged to apply. The recipients of the Spring 2024 grants were:
- LaGrange/Troup County Homeless Coalition: Awarded $2,500 to support the purchase of an HVAC system for the Branches of Hope Center.
