Ms. Marie P. Harry, age 102, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Born on November 5, 1921, in Heard County to the late Henry Newton and Myrtie Jackson Prince, Ms. Harry lived a remarkable life spanning nearly 103 years.

A homemaker for most of her life, she began working for International Playtex, Inc. in 1969, retiring in 1985. Throughout her life, Ms. Harry remained proud of her humble beginnings, embracing simplicity and gratitude in all she did.

Despite witnessing profound changes and innovations over her century of life, she stayed true to her values, focusing on her love of her Lord, her family, and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Ms. Harry’s passions included reading, tending to her flowers and bird feeders, solving puzzles, and laughing with loved ones. She was deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment with them. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family, as she was affectionately regarded as a second mom by many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her three children: Dennis J. Harry, Sr. (Georgene) of Goose Creek, SC; Deborah H. Alamalhodaei (Mike) of Marietta, GA; and Diane Lachney (Ron) of West Point, GA. Ms. Harry is also survived by her grandchildren: Lisa Dugger (Lynne), Dennis J. Harry, Jr. (Lorrie), Sarah Rhodes (Chris), Jonathan Gill, Justin Stevens (Dani), Jacob Stevens, and Zahra Alamalhodaei, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Harry was preceded in death by her siblings: Carl Prince, Christine Favor, Phillip Prince, Wade Prince, Alfred Prince, and Myra Smith, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
