Three charged in murder of 16-year-old

On Aug. 28 at 4:22 p.m., deputies with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Montrose Way regarding a person who had been shot. When deputies and other first responders arrived they located a 16-year-old male outside who appeared to have been shot in the chest and was unresponsive. The victim identified as Kyren Rainn Johnson, was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Immediately, our Criminal Investigations Division treated this investigation as a murder and began gathering evidence and talking to those at the scene and in the neighborhood. During the investigation, three persons were identified as suspects in this case and they have all now been arrested and charged.

- Nadilee Jade Martin, 18 years of age, of LaGrange: False Statements / Writings (Fel) and Tampering with Evidence (Fel)
