At 10 am Friday, the National Hurricane Center issued the initial advisory for a tropical storm. Tropical Storm Joyce is 1325 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 40 mph. It’s moving 13 mph to the northwest.

“On Monday, a gradual turn to the north is forecast.” forecasters explained. “Gradual strengthening is expected through Saturday, followed by gradual weakening through early next week.”
