On Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, Trackmobile employees will be celebrating breaking ground on the construction of their new office facilities after they were destroyed by the effects of a tornado in March 2023. Though the building wasn’t directly hit by the tornado, it sustained severe damage when hail buildup and subsequent rain on the roof overloaded the structure, causing the roof to collapse on the front third of the building. Water that collected on the roof flooded into the rest of the building, causing extensive damage. Ironically, the roof had just been refinished a few short weeks before the incident.

Headley Construction, a respected contractor with over 50 years of experience, was selected to lead the project to rebuild the office facilities. Known for their work on large-scale projects and strong relationships with subcontractors, Headley Construction will be overseeing the construction, marking a significant step forward in restoring Trackmobile’s operations.

Savills, a commercial real estate company, has been selected to serve as the project manager for this critical initiative representing Trackmobile throughout the design and construction process. Savills is dedicated to ensuring that this new facility meets Trackmobile’s operational needs and reflects their vision for the future.

The Trackmobile team worked diligently to clean up the production and warehouse areas, re-opening those functions within a week of the collapse. However, the front office facilities, where accounting, marketing, engineering, R&D, sales, and purchasing were housed, were destroyed. Trailers were later erected in the parking lot, providing a temporary space for these employees to conduct business.
