Allison Carol Shedd, 39, died peacefully on Oct. 1, 2024, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC following complications from a stroke.

Allison is survived by her mother Laura Hodge Shedd of LaGrange, Georgia; her siblings Beth Shedd of Marietta, Georgia, Burley Shedd (Robin) of Mobile, AL, Susan Shedd Whittington (Earle) of Decatur, Georgia, Betsy Shedd White (Jerry) of Metairie, LA; Sally Shedd Garner (Ed) of Lexington, SC; six nieces and nephews Kevin White (Kristen), Libby White Hall (Thomas), Ben Whittington, Jonathan Whittington, Anna Garner Caine (Scott), and Leigh Garner; along with five great nephews.

Allison was preceded in death by her father, Willoughby Burley (Bill) Shedd and her beloved grandparents, Elizabeth (Lib) Hodge and James (Jim) Edward Hodge.

Allison was born on June 30, 1985, in LaGrange, Georgia. She graduated from LaGrange High School, Georgia Southern University, and from there spent several years working and living in Charleston, SC, a city she loved.

Allison loved cats, particularly her tabby Daisy.

She had a very special way with children and loved her family, especially her niece Leigh and her great nephews.

She enjoyed cooking special meals and getting dressed up for dinner with family and friends.

Allison was a generous friend to many and will forever be remembered for her gift of life that she gave through the “Donate Life America” organ donation program.

She was truly a special spirit and will be missed by many. Heaven has another angel dwelling there now.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Oct. 14 th , 2024 at 11 A.M. at Wesley Methodist Church, 2382 West Point Road, LaGrange, GA 30240 with visitation immediately following the service.

Internment will be held at a later date.
