For about 3 years, Pamela Ball operated a home salon. As her clientele grew and more salon and spa services became available to offer, Ball made the decision to open Mimi’s Wellness and Beauty Spa located at 203 E Main St in downtown Hogansville.

Another reason why Ball made the decision to open up her own business was because she wanted to empower other women.

“I’ve got a great little team here and we’re able to just really have a good time and help the women here in the community to come in and meet all their self-care needs under one roof,” said Ball.

The spa officially opened August 23, 2024 and since then her clientele has grown to about 300.

For the space renovation, Ball used all local contractors and designers.

Mimi’s Wellness and Beauty Spa offers a variety of services including, but limited to, IV therapy and nutrition, neurotoxins, fillers, hydro facials, chemical peels, cryotherapy (massages, body contouring and orthopedic treatments, and micro needling.

On the spa packages that are offered, payment plans are available where clients can pay a little bit each time they come in for the total package which also offers a bit of a discount instead of paying for single sessions.

Private events, such as for bridal parties and Barbie themed parties, are available where groups can come in, relax or have fun and experience the spa.

“The cool thing about what we do here is all the services we offer complement each other to help give you holistic wellness care, and we do a skin analysis so you’re not paying for products or using stuff that’s not going to help you. Our estheticians have been in the business for 40 years. They will analyze your skin, and they will tell you exactly what you need to do and build a custom plan specific to you,” Ball said.

According to Ball, they plan to offer free cryo sessions, offer chair massages and hold raffles for gift cards and spa goodies during the Hummingbird festival.

During Christmas, the spa will hold a vendors market and invite local small businesses to participate.

As another way of giving back to the community, Mimi’s Wellness and Beauty Spa sponsors a domestic violence victim. They teach the individual skincare skills and help pay for them to get certified in that skill, provide makeovers for interviews, give tips on resume building and, hopefully as the spa grows, be able to offer the individual employment.

“We really value the small town atmosphere. We know a lot of the people here, and we really wanted to bring revenue and life to Main Street, and it’s fun, you know, we want to support our town. We think Hogansville is a great town. I graduated from here and so we are very invested in the community and seeing the community grow, Ball said.
