Callaway alum Braylon Sanders has a new home. The NFL wide receiver signed with the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

The former Cavalier will be on the practice squad for the Patriots as they prepare for their next game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Sanders will wear no. 80 for the Patriots and will look to break into a wide receiver room that has struggled so far in 2024.

Sanders is navigating the choppy waters of NFL life. After accumulating 69 catches for 1,453 yards and 10 touchdowns during his time at Ole Miss, Sanders made the jump to the next level in 2022 where he went unrated, but signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he spent the first two seasons of his career where he caught two passes for 27 yards, all during his rookie season. Sanders was waived by the Dolphins in Sept.

Sanders was named to Georgia Sports Writers Association All-State second team at wide receiver as a senior for Callaway, helping the Cavaliers to a 13-1 record and berth into the 2A state semifinals. He caught 20 touchdowns and racked up more than 1,000 receiving yards as a senior. Sanders was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
