A little over two years ago, we relocated to the city of LaGrange. Living near the water on the outskirts of New Orleans, we were surrounded by friends of many decades, and familiar sights, scenes and foods. Our home had been renovated to accommodate our needs as we aged. Life was set in place.
Oppressive heat followed by all too frequent hurricanes, and then the unexpected…another heart attack, prompted a change. The decision was made to relocate within reach of one of the now grown children, and the search began. Six months later, we called LaGrange home.
Thank you to the generations who have created this wonderful town. Event Venues, Churches, Colleges, Art Museums and Galleries, LG Symphony, Music and Theater, Breweries, Wineries, Historic Homes and Gardens and even a Mardi Gras Parade …are all amenities not often found in much larger cities. Thank you for the warm hand of welcome we received initially from so many, and still do. Your acts of kindness have meant so much, and reassured us that we are exactly where we were meant to be.
Thank you for allowing us to share your Hometown. We did not help to make it what it is today, but we promise to help you keep it growing and glowing. This Thanksgiving, our prayer of gratitude includes each of you.
