Pastor Willie Lee Hutchinson age 80 died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024 at his Home.
A native of Roanoke, Alabama, he was one of eighteen children born to the late Jessie and Addie Moore Hutchinson.
A graduate of East Depot High School, he joined the U.S.Army being the first Paratrooper to lead in the Vietnam War receiving several Medals and Rewards.
Pastor Hutchinson held employment with Solomons Department Store, Southern Ambulance and Palm Harbor Homes.
At an early age, he joined Zion Hill Baptist Church and he later established as a Minister, The True Worship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Rev. Idus Joyce Hutchinson; a son, Maurice (Felicia) Hutchinson, two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, brothers and several other relatives and extended families.
He was preceded in death by several family members.
Candle Light Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. at True Worship Baptist Church at 609 Whitesville Road.
Funeral services for Pastor Hutchinson will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 at NOON at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 506 Ware Street. Rev. William Harris will officiate with burial and Military Honors at SouthView Cemetery.
West Georgia Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
