For just the second time this season, the LaGrange girls basketball team has won two games in a row. The Grangers put together a dominant showing on Tuesday, hammering Whitewater 64-29 for its second win in as many days.
The two games have been perfect indicators for just how far the Grangers have come this season. LaGrange scored its season high in points on Monday, only to go and eclipse it against the Wildcats on Tuesday.
The recipe was much the same on Tuesday as it was on Monday as the Grangers got off to a chill start. LaGrange was able to capture a 14-6 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back.
The Granger showed no mercy and built a 32-14 lead at halftime.
There was no way back for the Wildcats as the suffocating Granger defense barely gave them an inch.
LaGrange would go on to outscore Whitewater 33-15 in the second half.
In an extremely impressive feat, the Granger defense has not let up double-digit points in any of the last eight quarters of play.
It was a balanced attack on offense for LaGrange with 10 total players getting in the scoring column. Madisyn Booker led the way with 13 points. Peyton Swint and Kelis Atkinson scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.
LaGrange improved to 7-16 overall and 4-11 in the region. The Grangers will wrap the regular season on Friday with a home game against Trinity Christian. The Lions won the earlier season matchup 66-44.
