1 killed in wreck
One person died in a single car accident off Bass Cross Road in Hogansville early Thursday morning, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The driver, who was not identified as of Thursday night, reportedly ran off the side of the road and then overcorrected back across both lanes of traffic, stated Sgt. 1st Class Maurice Raines, commander of GSP Post 2 LaGrange.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, Raines said.
The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
