Marion Nixon Allen of Dalton, formerly of LaGrange, Georgia passed away February 16, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA following a brief illness.

Mrs. Allen was born March 12, 1932 in LaGrange, GA to the late Henry and Ira Nixon.  She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Dalton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Allen.  Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Jenny and Stan Crawford of Dalton, GA and Elizabeth and Jerry Burns of Statesville, NC, four grandchildren, Kevin and Leslie Crawford of Vestavia Hills, AL, Carley and Billy Hopkins of Dalton, Leslie and Patrick Gibbons of Columbia, SC, and Daniel and Jennifer Burns of Mobile, Al.  Great Grandchildren, Mac Crawford, Steven Crawford, Ann Ellison Crawford, Arrie Hope Hopkins, Spencer Gibbons and Annalise Burns and one brother, Harold Nixon of Piedmont, AL.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2:00pm in the courtyard at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in LaGrange with the Reverend Allen Pruitt officiating.
