Mrs. Griffin was born November 8, 1930 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late John Thomas Hall and Nancy Elizabeth Smith Hall. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and also attended Centralhatchee First Baptist Church.
She was known as one of the hardest working women in Franklin, and operated a deer processing facility that attracted hunters from all over West Georgia. They marveled how a 70 year-old- woman could do more work than they could!
During her life she also worked at numerous textile mills, Franklin Aluminum, and Southwire. She even ran her own café in the Arnco Mills Community with her second husband, Glen Griffin, for several years.
Survivors include: her daughter, Ann Adams; grandson, Tonnie Adams, both of Centralhatchee; a special man that she raised, Chris Jones, and his son Justin Jones; nieces and nephews: Maxcine Stewart Wheeler, Dean Cates, Dwain Geter, Tommy Geter, Frankie Geter, Shelbe Gosdin, and Jerry Gosdin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husbands, Doil Rice and Glen Griffin; companion, Jerry Jackson; sisters: Ina Geter, Ruth Uselton, and Johnnie Mae Johnson; brother, Andrew J. “Big Boy” Hall; five infant siblings; and one niece, Josie Knox.
