One man was airlifted early Tuesday morning after his car slammed into a utility pole on Commerce Avenue.
The man’s identity and condition were not known as of press time on Tuesday.
The driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle and hit the power pole near the Captain’s Cove restaurant just after 9 a.m., officials said.
The accident caused about 1,000 people along Commerce Avenue and New Franklin Road to lose power for about 50 minutes, stated Patrick Bowie, director of Utilities for the city of LaGrange.
Many of those customers were commercial restaurants and businesses.
