Mrs. Frances Bailey Neese, 98, of LaGrange, GA passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Mrs. Neese, born July 30, 1918 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late George Embry Bailey and Annie Belle Irby Bailey.  She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square, where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.  She was a loving wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and mother-in-law.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neese was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 61 ½ years, James Leon Neese; sisters, Katherine Bailey, Sarah Bailey, and Martha Bailey Palmer; brothers, Robert Bailey, George Bailey, Melville Bailey, Henry Bailey, Clay Bailey, Embry Bailey, and David Bailey; son-in-law, David Hodges.

Mrs. Neese is survived by her four daughters, Anne Garrett (Tony) of Thomasville, GA, Pamela “Pam” LaRue (Al) of Thomaston, GA, Barbara “Bobbe” Pharr (Doug) of Smyrna, GA, and Mary Frances Hodges of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Tonya Garrett, DeNeese Stewart, Ansley Spaventa, Vicki Beatty, Stephanie Figgs, Jeff Pharr, Ryan Pharr, Angelia Roberts, and Cheri “Christy” Kribbs; great grandchildren, Taylor Hodges, Hannah Hodges, Sophia Sampson, Joley Spaventa, Braxton Figgs, Thomas Pharr, Owen Pharr, Cale Pharr, Samuel Pharr, Lauren Roberts, and Chloe Kribbs; and sincere appreciation is given to long time caregiver, Margaret Amos.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Cade Farris and Dr. Paul Baxter officiating.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.  The visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
