Cortez Mont’e “Big Man” Johnson

Cortez Mont’e Johnson passed away Sunday.
He was born January 13, 1996 to Cortez and Monica Johnson.
“Big Man” was a quiet man with a funny sense of humor.
He graduated from Harris County High School where he participated in sports. He loved football.
Survivors include a son, Caiden Monte (Tamillyah); mother, Monica; father, Cortez “Tez” (Shannon); grandmother, Mary (Tony) Brewer; grandfather, Eddie “Bug” (Charlene) Whitaker; one sister, Zahava; three brothers, Tevonte’ Keon and Cartavius; four aunts, Tameka Harris, Tiffany (William) Marshall, Pashyen Anderson, and Dominique Whitaker; four uncles, Regianld (Candi) Brewer, Tarvarius “Bootsy”, Kindrez “Dre”, and Jaquabian “Sass”; seven great aunts, six great uncles; many, many cousins and friends, especially the “Mount Boys” of Pine Mountain, Georgia.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point. Dr. W. T. Edmondson and Rev. Julian Warner will officiate. Burial will follow at Roe’s Chapel UM Church Cemetery.
