Man driving Uhaul allegedly backs into business, leaves

A man backed a Uhaul truck into a steel pole in front of Badcock Home Furniture and More Tuesday afternoon, and then allegedly drove off, according to a report from the LaGrange Police Department.
The report says the man was backing up after picking up his items when he hit a steel pole, “bending the pole into one of the decorative columns and damaging all.” The store manager said the man then drove off. He called the man’s dad, who said he would tell his son to return to the store, but he did not do so.
Dirt Bikes stolen on Jefferson Street
Three males allegedly broke into a shed on Jefferson Street and took two dirt bikes.
A 2008 Honda CRF 150R, valued at $1,500 and a green and white Kawaski KX 6500, valued at $1,700 were stolen from a shed on the 200 block of Jefferson Street. There is a MAP stamp on both sides of the bikes.
According to the report, the dirt bikes had not yet been located.
The homeowner’s camera system shows three males entering the shed through the back door before removing the dirt bikes.
Practice field lights broken
The LaGrange Police Department is investigating light bulbs broken at the pavilion by the practice fields on Panther Way by LaGrange College.
There were multiple light bulbs broken and shattered on the ground when the report was made at 8:29 a.m. Tuesday.
The light bulbs and light fixtures were estimated at around $100 in value.
