A head-on collision on Interstate 85 Saturday resulted in four people being airlifted to hospitals, including a 3-year-old, according to Georgia State Patrol.

On Saturday at 9:12 p.m, a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling north on the exit ramp of I-85 near mile marker 15, and entered the interstate traveling in the wrong direction of traffic. The vehicle struck a 2017 Dodge Charger head-on, according to a press release sent by the Georgia State Patrol.

The driver of the Crown Victoria was Brittany Diamond Allred, 22, of LaGrange. Allred was charged with a plethora of charges, including a DUI, possession of open container in vehicle passenger area, reckless driving, serious injury by vehicle, safety restraint violation, failure to maintain lane, endangering a child under 14 years of age while driving under the influence and no proof of insurance.

Allred was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center, while a 3-year-old passenger in the Crown Victoria was airlifted to Egleston Hospital. A third passenger in the vehicle, a 24-year-old, was uninjured.

The driver of the Dodge Charger, a 61-year-old, and a 51-year-old passenger, were both airlifted to Grady Hospital, according to GSP.

No update has been given on the conditions of those involved who were airlifted for care.
