The First Choice Women’s Center is hosting the First Annual Kickball Tournament, NOT Just for Kicks, The Mother of All Tournaments on Aug. 19.

The tournament is being hosted to benefit the First Choice Women’s Center, a center dedicated to providing helpful and accurate information in a compassionate environment for pregnant women.

The tournament, which will take place at the Shuford Softball Complex, costs $350 per team, each team must have between 10-16 members and must have three females on the field at any one time.

All games will be five innings or 45 minutes, two games are guaranteed and anyone aged 14 and up is welcome to play.

The deadline for registration is Aug. 9, however the 16 available slots have been filled.

As of Aug. 3 the 16 teams signed up to participate in the tournament were as follows:

Jackson Heating & Air, Mike Patton Auto, Blackwell’s Inc, LaGrange Women’s Health, Childress Dental, Western Heights, Baptist Church, Fountain Church, Callaway Baptist Church, Spinks Brown Durand, Crossfit, Go Realty, Shoal Creek, Sewon, First Baptist Church, Rosemont Baptist Church and the LaGrange High girls soccer team. These 16 teams will have a chance to compete for a pair of prizes being offered.

The winning team will receive a team trophy, medals for each player and a $20 gift certificate to Downtown LaGrange. The second-place team will also receive medals.
