LAGRANGE – It was a tough Saturday for the Troup Lady Tigers.

After beating Woodward Academy on Friday to improve to 4-0 on the season, Troup returned to Shuford Fields on Saturday for the second and final day of the Callaway Classic.

Troup played three games on Saturday, and it lost them all to fall to 4-3.

Troup will look to begin a new winning streak when it visits Region 5-AAAA foe Sandy Creek on Tuesday.

Troup began its region schedule with an 8-4 home win over Chapel Hill last week.

“It humbles you a little bit,”

Troup coach Mason Brackett said. “You start out 4-0, and this happens. Hopefully it’ll motivate them to come to practice Monday and want to work hard and get ready for Sandy Creek on Tuesday.”
