LAGRANGE – The Lafayette Christian School Cougars made things interesting late, but they ended up falling to New Creation Academy 44-38 on Friday night.
Trailing 44-30, the Cougars got a 10-yard touchdown run from quarterback Landon Whitley with 3:31 to play.
Whitley then completed a two-point pass to Nathan Fain to make it a six-point game.
The Cougars got the ball back with 55 seconds left, but they ran out of time.
