Record lows reported at LaGrange-Callaway Airport

More-seasonable weather is on tap for Troup County for the next few days after a record low was posted.
The mercury stood at 50 degrees at 7 a.m. Thursday at LaGrange-Callaway Airport, one degree lower than the record for the date set in 1965.
Clear skies and highs in the lower 80s are forecast for Friday and Saturday, with lows near 60.
Temperatures should cool a bit as Hurricane Irma begins to affect Georgia’s weather. Sunday’s outlook calls for partly cloudy skies with a high in the upper 70s and a low near 60. Monday should see a good chance of rain with a high in the lower 70s and a low in the upper 50s.
Normal extremes for this time of year in LaGrange are 85 and 63 degrees Fahrenheit.
