Two Hogansville residents were arrested over the weekend and charged with stalking and felony terrorist threats and acts.

Samuel and Gloria Snead were arrested after they made threats to two people they thought hacked their cell phone, according to Sgt. Stewart Smith with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

The case started Sept. 18, when officers with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of someone hacking a cell phone on Hammett Road. After the report was completed, the Sneads allegedly began harassing the two individuals they believe hacked their phone, including calling them on the phone at work, making threats and threatening to go to their home.

According to the press release from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, the couple also started posting racially charged comments and threats on social media.

Samuel also called the sheriff’s office and made similar threats to individuals and threatened to find their homes, according to the press release.

Samuel Snead remains in Troup County Jail, and Gloria Snead has been released on bond.

Gloria Snead’s bonds totaled $6,000.

According to arrest/release reports from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, Samuel was denied bond.

House and car struck with bullets

A man’s car and house were struck by gunfire at the 900 block of Mason Street Monday at 11:19 p.m. The man told police he was sleeping in his house when he heard two gunshots.

When he went outside, he saw his that the rear window of his Nissan Altima was shattered. According to the police report, an officer also noticed that the front windshield had spider webbing and the round appeared to have stayed inside the vehicle and was pinned in between the windshield and the dash. Another bullet hole was found in the arm of a couch. Police believe that bullet traveled through the front of the house and through a speaker before hitting the couch. The man said his girlfriend and their child were also inside the house during the time of the incident.

Man’s gun and wallet stolen from car

A man’s Kel-Tec .380 caliber gun and wallet were allegedly stolen from his unlocked truck at the 200 block of Sunny Point Circle between Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and Monday at 7:30 a.m. The man said his gun was in the driver side door and his wallet was laying on the middle console. The man said the only other valuables left in his truck were his tools laying in the bed of the vehicle. The tools were not stolen.
