Annie Thomas Copeland

Annie Thomas Copeland passed away Friday.
She was born Sept.. 28, 1915, to the late, Mr. John Thomas and Mrs. Adele Watkins Thomas.
She joined St. James CME Church at the age of ten and became active with the Stewardess, Missionary, and Usher Boards.
She was employed with Callaway Mills and City County Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mrs. Margaret Avery and Mrs. Jane Lindsey; and son, Mr. Robert Ward.
Survivors include her children: Marilyn Wallace, Linden, NJ; Mrs. Mary Ann (Gordon) Shipman, Plainfield, NJ; Mrs. Betty Shipman, LaGrange, GA; Rev. Bobby (Catherine) Copeland, Columbus, GA; daughter-in-law, Lottie Ward, Salisbury, MD; son-in-law, Bobby Lindsey, LaGrange, GA; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. James CME Church.
