The LaGrange Cotillion Club was first formed in 1927, with Liz Rakestraw serving as the first president of the club. Over the years, the members have become successful women in the local  community and in other communities throughout the state.

The 2017 Cotillion Ball will be held Dec. 28, 2017, at Del’Avant Event Center. This year’s emcee will be Lonnie James Haralson IV. There will be 19 girls presented this year including Claire Alford, Hannah Asbell, Elizabeth Burch, Alice Ann Carson, Callye Ann Chastain, Skylar Crowe, Catherine Gurley, Ellie Hansen, Whitley Harman, Emily Huff, Sarah Jackson, Catherine Patton, Maddie Patton, Hannah Penn, McLain Skinner, Mackenzie Skinner, Gabby Stribling, Ashley Wilder and Macy Willis.

The 2017 Cotillion Club’s officers are President Abbey Arrington, Vice-President Emily Flowers, Secretary Peyton Knox, Treasurer Ellie Doerr, Social Chair Sara Kate Doerr and Project Chair Lily Burns.

For the Cotillion Club’s annual service project, the debutantes visited the Special Grangers at LaGrange High School and spent the morning visiting with them and decorating Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses.

The Cotillion Club advisors this year are Allison Arrington and Rachel Ennis.

Elizabeth Claire Alford

Miss Elizabeth Claire Alford is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Crawford Alford and will be presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Elizabeth Stewart Burch

Miss Elizabeth Stewart Burch is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Burch, III and the late Virginia Tollison McCall Burch and will be presented by her father.
