HOGANSVILLE – Business is blossoming in Hogansville, or at least it is for a local florist who held a grand opening for a new, larger location on Saturday

Ginger’s Blooms & Bargains, formerly Flowers Dealz & Treasures, held a ribbon cutting over the weekend to celebrate its new location a short distance away from where the florist has been serving the community for three years in the town where she grew up.

“I’m originally from Hogansville — been here 50 years, hate to say that, but 50 years,” owner Ginger Rollins said. “I will be providing a full-service florist and discount retail. From week to week, you never know what we are going to get, so come on in and just see from week to week.”

Besides flowers, the shop will feature clothing, furniture and a variety of items that might not be found in other Hogansville stores.

“I just wanted to serve the community with things that they can afford and need, so we are going to have a variety of stuff that will be coming in weekly from boutique clothes to new and used furniture, health and beauty aids and a full-service florist,” Rollins said. “I would like to see Hogansville grow and me be a part of it.”

Several members of the Hogansville City Council came out for the ribbon cutting to celebrate the growth of the local business.

“We are glad that Ginger was able to find a place and move from uptown,” Hogansville Mayor Bill Stankiewicz said. “There was a space available in this shopping center, and it is a bigger space for her. I think it is going to be great for the city.”

Ginger’s Blooms & Bargains is located at 206 Highway 29 in Hogansville, in the Piggly Wiggly Shopping Center. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
