FRANKLIN – The Troup Tigers are rolling.

Troup improved to 4-0 with Monday’s 15-0 road win over the Heard County Braves in a game shortened to five innings because of the run rule.

Senior shortstop Ryan Bliss, who has already signed with Auburn, led the offensive onslaught with two hits and four RBIs, and he led off the game with a solo home run.

Kenly Bridwell had three hits and two RBIs, and he scored four runs.

Garrett Casey also had a big day at the plate with two hits and two RBIs, and he had one of Troup’s six doubles.

Colby Williams had two hits, and Cooper Doughman, Cade Garner and Luke Purnell each had a hit and an RBI.

Caleb McCurry had a hit, Brantly Robinson drove in two runs, and Cole Young had one RBI.

The Tigers finished with 15 hits and six walks, and they were hit by a pitch three times.

Bliss, Casey, Bridwell, Doughman, Caleb McCurry and Purnell each had a double.

Williams and Cam Gosdin combined for the six-hit shutout.

Williams started and pitched three innings with five strikeouts.

Gosdin threw the final two innings.

SATURDAY’S GAME: Troup scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to get a walk-off 5-4 win over South Forsyth in a game played at Harris County.

Cooper Doughman and Colby Williams highlighted the offensive effort with solo home runs, and leadoff hitter Ryan Bliss was on base with two hits and a walk.

Brantly Robinson had two hits, and he scored the winning run in the seventh inning when Caleb McCurry reached on an error.

Cade Garner had a hit and a run scored for Troup.

McCurry got the start for Troup, and he pitched three solid innings, giving up one hit and one run.

Colton Greathouse and Williams each pitched one inning, and Bliss threw two innings to get his second win of the season.

UP NEXT: Troup will host county rival Callaway on Thursday, with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m.
