The Rev. Corey Gibson of Fairfax, Virginia, and Dr. Ida Jones of Washington, D.C. are happy to announce their engagement.

Dr. Ida Jones is the daughter of Edwin and Betty Jones; Miss Jones is a 2006 Graduate of Callaway High School. She then attended University of Georgia where she earned a degree in communications in 2009.

She works as a Grants Manager for District of Columbia Government. The Rev. Corey Gibson is the son of Charles and Mattie Gibson.

The Rev. Corey Gibson is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School.

He then attended Virginia Union University where he received his degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010.

He now works as a Youth and Young Adult Pastor for the First Baptist Church of Vienna, Virginia. The wedding will be held on Aug. 11, 2018, at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia.
