An argument turned serious Tuesday when a man allegedly rammed his Honda Accord into his girlfriend’s Toyota Camry, while their child was in the backseat.

According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, 28-year-old Ortegas Shells was having an argument with his girlfriend at the 400 block of Jefferson Street. His girlfriend started to leave the location, but as she was leaving, Shells rammed his vehicle into hers, causing moderate damage. According to the LPD report, nobody was injured in the incident, including the child.

Shells later turned himself into police, according to a LaGrange police report.

He was charged with aggravated assault-other weapon under the family violence act, according to the police report.  According to jail records, Shells is in the Troup County Jail with no bond.
