Sculptor Chuck Moore of Valley, Alabama, will be honored Saturday, Aug. 4, for the art he has given on permanent loan to the City of LaGrange, The Thread, Sweetland Amphitheatre, Lafayette Society for Performing Arts and the LaGrange Art Museum. 

A “pop” reception is set from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with Frios pops served. 

The public is invited and encouraged to also view this summer’s exhibit “Take Your Time,” featuring fun works from the museum’s permanent collection, Chuck Moore’s lamps crafted from textile machinery parts and the interactive, welded sculptures by Deborah McNeil and RL Hughey, Jr.
