The Callaway softball team found some success offensively, but it was Lamar County walking away with a 13-5 home win on Tuesday in a Region 5-AAAA game.
Callaway (6-9 overall) fell to 1-1 in the region, while Lamar County improved to 2-0 in region play.
Lamar County won the region championship last year.

Lydia Bartlett had two hits and an RBI, and Oeisha Jenkins had a pair of hits.
Leadoff hitter Leijorey Sanders had a hit and two runs scored, and Alora Vetsavong walked and scored a run.
Jenkins started and pitched into the second inning, and Lexi Furgeson threw the final 3 1/3 innings.
The game ended in the fifth inning because of the run rule.
Kelyse Harris and Brinkley Yevak each hit home runs for Lamar County, and Yevak threw a five-inning complete game.
Callaway will host region foe Heard County on Thursday.
