A lady made my day yesterday.
As I was leaving Florence Hand Nursing Home yesterday a lady called me over and said, “I just love your articles in the LaGrange Daily News.” I thanked her for her kind words.
Wow, it does not take much to make people feel much better about their life. Today I would like to talk about pruning back the dead limbs, sometimes God prunes back for us, we must look at this as a time to grow.
The Bible says in Isaiah 54:2, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings.”
As my old saying goes if you’re not growing, you’re dying. My dare to you is to look on the bright side. Look how you can get better and somehow you will!!!

Never stop teaching. Over the years I have gotten a high school kid to work out at the farm.
He does everything from cutting grass to pressure washing the driveway, just like Jay used to have to do. The mom of the young man who is helping me at the farm this summer called me last night.
This young man was so excited about getting money for one thing, but he had to learn to ride a big riding lawn mower and to weed eat. This proves to me again that people want to work when given the right opportunity.
My dare to you is to not give money to young people, but instead to let them learn to earn money; we will all be better off if that happens!
