LaGRANGE — LaGrange firefighters said they will continue to investigate the cause of a small blaze Friday evening around 5:30 at the Sewon plant at 1000 Sewon Boulevard.
Employees inside the building were evacuated after the smell of smoke filled part of the facility.
Engines from all four LaGrange fire stations responded to the scene and found an exhaust fan on the roof had caught fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished.
Firefighters ventilated part of the roof of the main Sewon building that had been charred by flames to ensure it didn’t spread. Fire personnel believed a machine may have caused the fire, but said they did not have an exact cause to the blaze.
Employees were allowed back inside after about 45 minutes. No one was injured in the incident.
