English to serve another term on county commission

On Tuesday, Richard English was re-elected to represent District 5 on the Troup County Board of Commissioners. English ran unopposed.
English has served on the Troup County Board of Commissioners for 40 years, and he said that he wants to make sure that the county continues moving in the right direction.
“I want to keep the county going the way it is going,” English said. “We’ve got a good board of commissioners, and I want to keep that going.”
English and his wife, Cheris, have one child, Leslie.
