Hot-shooting Panthers top Hawks

The hot-shooting LaGrange College Panthers rolled to an 85-71 victory over Huntingdon on Wednesday in a USA South men’s game at Mariotti Gym.
The Panthers made 66 percent of their shots, and their four leading scorers were a combined 27-of-37 from the field.
Julian Cameron led the Panthers with 23 points, and he was 8-of-10 from the field, and he connected on 6-of-8 three-point attempts.
Jamison McCray, who was 8-of-11 from the field, scored 20 points.
Travis Thompson also shot well, making 7-of-10 shot attempts, and he scored 18 points.
Gary Bishop, who was 4-of-6 from the field, added 10 points.
The Panthers led 40-27 at the half, and they outscored the Hawks 45-44 in the second half.
LaGrange College closes the regular season with Saturday’s home game against Piedmont at 3 p.m.
LaGrange College (16-8 overall) is 2-5 in USA South play.
