A-1 Auto Transport recently announced that it has made scholarships available to qualified students in LaGrange, Troup County and surrounding areas. 

To be considered eligible, students must be enrolled in an accredited college, trade school, post-secondary school or university and steadily carry a GPA of 3.0 or more. Students must write an essay of 1,000 words or more on a topic related to the auto transport industry. Topics may also include any information on A-1 Auto Transport’s shipping services. 

“A-1 Auto Transport is offering these scholarships because they love to give back to students,” A-1 spokesperson Tom Masters said. “They believe that tuition is getting out of control and students deserve a break.”

Essays that are found published on the Internet elsewhere or found to be plagiarized are immediately disqualified. Every essay will undergo a plagiarism check and review through A-1’s Scholarship Committee. The deadline for essay submissions is March 10, 2020. 

Students should email scholarships@a1autotransport.com with their full name, mailing address, phone number, school name and email address as well as their essay. Winners are chosen by A-1’s Scholarship Committee at the end of March 2020. Winners will be viewable on the website. Winners are also notified by email. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the financial office of the student’s school. Scholarship programs through A-1 are worth $250, $500 or $1,000 per year.
