Woman arrested after allegedly hitting boyfriend in the head with brick

A woman has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly hitting her live-in boyfriend in the head with a brick.
On Thursday at 3:04 a.m., the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports of an altercation on the 1800 block of Whitesville Road. According to an LPD press release, when officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with the victim, who was reportedly bleeding from his head and was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
After further investigation, officers reportedly learned that the victim had been struck with a brick in the head by Octava Manley, according to the press release. Manley was arrested and charged with aggravated assault (family violence act).
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
