The LaGrange Art Museum’s Center for Creative Learning is receiving some additional color as volunteers work to recreate a design by artist Deanna Sirlin on its walls facing Morgan Street and Lafayette Parkway.
Pete Thrailkill, a post office employee, works Tuesday as a volunteer to paint the mural on the Center for Creative Learning.

Andy Porter, an Interface employee, works on the mural at the LaGrange Art Museum’s Center for Creative Learning on Tuesday. Volunteers from various organizations have been working on the mural, based on a design by Deanna Sirlin, since October. Museum official put out a request for proposals for the work earlier this year, and Sirlin’s work was chosen out of more than 50 entries.
