Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a stabbing reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Wright Street.

A police report said a man showed up to West Georgia Medical Center with a stab wound to his right shoulder.

He told LaGrange police he was stabbed by his girlfriend during a verbal altercation after he saw her at another man’s home.

The victim said the woman reached into her purse, grabbed a knife and stabbed him.

He also told police he did not wish to prosecute his girlfriend for hurting him. The man was treated and released from the hospital.

Police arrest teen who allegedly broke into car

A car owner managed to catch two potential thieves attempting to break into his vehicle on Sunday about 11 a.m. in the 100 block of Clark Street and called 911.

The man told officers he saw two black males pulling on the door handles of his Ford Excursion.

Police said when they arrived, the males fled on foot.

The LaGrange police K-9 unit was called to the scene to assist and tracked Justin Marshall, 17, to his residence where he was taken into custody.

Marshall was charged with criminal attempt entering auto and obstruction.

Police said the other suspect was not caught.

Woman causes disturbance over milkshake

A woman not happy with her order took it out on an employee at the Dairy Queen at 230 New Franklin Road about 4 p.m. Friday.

Restaurant managers told LaGrange police the woman ordered a milkshake through the drive-through window, but sent it back because, “It was not prepared correctly.”

One of the managers said she made a new milkshake, but the woman claimed that employees probably spit in it and berated her with curse words.

According to the manager, the female took the item and drove around the building.

Another manager told officers he was coming out of a back door when the woman threw the milkshake at him, covering his shirt and pants, called him a curse word and drove off.

A restaurant employee stated to officers she knew who the irate woman was and where she worked.

Police were investigating.
