The City of LaGrange is offering adoption deals for dogs and cats in October for Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, or #Dogtober.

For the entire month of October, adopting a dog or cat at the City of LaGrange Animal Shelter will be half price.

There will also be several adoption deals and events throughout the month of October including:

4A Small Dog Adoption Event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Petsense at 141 Commerce Avenue. Dogs or cats will be available for adoption at half price.

4At National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Beechwood Furniture parking lot at 110 Commerce Avenue, dogs and cats will be available for adoption free of charge.

4There will also be a Howl-o-Ween Event on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the LaGrange Animal Services Building at 1390 Orchard Hill Road. Dogs and cats will be available for adoption at half price. Both pet and human trick or treaters welcome.

Potential pet owners can also adopt a dog or cat for half price during the month of October at the LaGrange Animal Services Building at 1390 Orchard Hill Road. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sunday.
