George William Rutledge, Jr. age 74 died Monday, November 18, 2019 at Hospice Lagrange.  Mr. Rutledge was the son of the late George William Rutledge and Minnie Lee Fannin Rutledge.  His wife, Agnes Sheppard Rutledge preceded him in death.  Mr. Rutledge, a native of Lagrange was a graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School and he held employment for many years with Davidson and Sons Construction Company.  Survivors include three sons, George Rutledge III, Otis Rutledge and Joseph Rutledge; a daughter, Beatrice Hardy; three brothers, Milton, Phillip and Gary (Estella) Rutledge; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Rogers, Angela Scott, Carolyn Treake and Diane Warren; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by three sisters and a grandson.  Funeral services for George William Rutledge, Jr. will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at True Worship Baptist Church.  Rev. Willie Hutchinson will officiate with burial at Southview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter at 700 B Revis Street..
