Marcia Millwood Player, age 77, of LaGrange, died Nov. 28, 2019, at WellStar Hospital in LaGrange. She was born Aug. 5, 1942 to Dorsey and Moncile Millwood. She was Baptist by faith, where she attended First Baptist Church of LaGrange. She was a member of Merry Makers at her church. She loved being a foster parent. She also sold Avon for over 40 years.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Edgar Player officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include her mother, Moncile Millwood of Americus, two daughters, Sonja Beavers of Starkville, Mississippi and Jana Player of Starkville, Mississippi; one son, Greg Player of LaGrange; one sister, Kay Millwood Bell of Americus; and one grandchild, Brandon Beavers of Starkville, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her father Dorsey Millwood and husband Richard Player. The family suggest memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society 250 William St NW. Atlanta, Georgia.
